Scuttlebutt Brewing Co.

Scuttlebutt is an Everett institution  family-owned and operated for twenty years. The place used to be tucked inside an old office building with barely a window in site – but it was always packed (a true testament to the food and beer). They’ve since moved to a beautiful, new building overlooking the Port of Everett on Craftsman Way. Scuttlebutt typically features five regular brews on tap alongside rotating seasonal beers and a full bar. Visitors can enjoy family-friendly waterfront dining, with a large patio for patrons (and their dogs) who would like to dine al fresco. The menu features brew pub fare, including maritime classics like fish and chips and clam chowder.

The Independent Beer Bar

A new beer-centric joint in downtown Everett, The Independent has a beautiful high-ceilinged wood interior with plenty of seating, warm low lighting and a long bar. This place serves craft beer, cider and wine with 16 taps, along with a variety of cans and bottles. Visitors can order from nearby Sa-Nae Thai (the food bill will be rolled into your tab). The Shuffleboard table and Wednesday night trivia are local favorites.

At Large Brewing

At Large is the new kid in town. Opened in 2016, they are a taproom and microbrewery specializing in growler and keg sales. They brew on site in a converted warehouse that used to belong to The Everett Herald. If beer isn’t your thing, At Large also pours cider from a local cidery. Local tip: if it’s sunny, they open the west facing roll-up doors for a great view of the Puget Sound.

Brews Almighty

This Port Gardner neighborhood establishment is known for its $3 happy hour beers daily from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. They offer many varieties of beer on draught along with kegs and growlers to-go if that’s your thing. They share a building with local furniture craftsmen Elpis & Wood, so you can get a little buzz and then impulse-buy the live edge table of your dreams.

Bottles and Cans

Visiting from out of town? Maybe you want to grab something to take back to your hotel or have a quick drink without the sit-down-and-wait experience. You can find the best of what’s local at the Sno-Isle Natural Foods Co-Op’s walk-in cooler full of craft beer and cider.

Crucible Brewing

Crucible is a newer brewery in Everett but probably leads the pack in terms of raving fans and quality beer. Voted Everett’s best brewery in 2016, this place is doing everything right. Forward-thinking beers, a great atmosphere, fair prices and a warm and welcoming staff who all have their dream job. They don’t serve food, but they’ll often have a food truck parked out front making street food dreams come true.

Middleton Brewing

Middleton is also located in a warehouse on Everett Mall Way. They’re an interesting brewery using different adjunct ingredients (like coconut or peanut butter) in all of their beers. It’s a refreshing break from the normal IPA-centric, northwest style beer. Middleton is dog friendly and serves up food like pizza and paninis. Local tip: the owner’s name is Geoff (Jeff) and he’s the nicest person you’ll ever meet.
