Dog friendly parks & businesses

Couldn’t imagine traveling without your best pal tagging along? We get it. Everett is super accommodating to dogs and dog people. Most hotels allow pets, we have plenty of spaces for your pooch to run and play, and lots of dog-friendly businesses where you’ll both want to hang out.

Lowell Park

The closest off leash dog park to the downtown area, Lowell is a place where your pooch can really run amok. Let your dog romp and play with others in a large area enclosed by a chain link fence. It’s a good way to hang out, meet other “dog people” and swap cute pet stories. The park also features gravel trails through wetlands as well as a long paved path beside the river, perfect for taking Fido on an extended stroll. The park supplies clean up bags and dog waste disposal bins for your convenience.

Howarth Park

Howarth is arguably Everett’s most scenic beach park, featuring driftwood, big rocks and sand basically a built-in obstacle course for an energetic four-legged friend. You can, of course, go beach combing, but there is so much more to do. There are plenty of activities for a dog to do at Howarth including running, wading, rolling in seaweed and stinky starfish and fetching wood in the waves.

Everett Farmers Market, downtown

Everett’s open air market runs from spring to fall and they accommodate well-behaved dogs on leashes. Indeed, there are several booths dedicated to homemade dog treats and handcrafted dog accessories and apparel. After the market take your mutt for a strut in historical downtown Everett where you'll find great food and drinks and lots of patio and outdoor seating.

The Independent Beer Bar, downtown

Everett’s stellar craft beer bar is a beloved hangout among dogs and their owners. With dozens of beers, ciders and wines, shuffleboard and lots of pups hanging out, you and Rex will have hours of fun together. Local tip: the Independent doesn’t serve food, but the Thai joint down the street will deliver. Ask the bartender for a menu.
