Get some fresh air and shop downtown Everett's great little selection of locally owned businesses with super friendly staff members, unique items, and a nice atmosphere. Here are a few of our favorites.
Burkett's
Another women's clothing store, Burkett's is the place to pick up an investment piece
– the shopping experience and quality of clothing makes it worthwhile. The staff is super friendly and will help you find the perfect item. Watch their Facebook page for trunk and fashion shows and other fun events.

Tommy’s Guitar Shop
Tommy’s Guitar Shop is owned by an actual guy name Tommy. He’s run his operation on Hewitt for 10 years, personally fixing and selling guitars, ukuleles, mandolins and all variety of stringed instruments. He looks the part of a guitar tech: long hair and grizzled facial hair. And yes, he knows how to shred.
For the guitar enthusiast, Tommy’s is the place to visit when in town. The walls are literally lined with guitars and the hardwood floors are covered in amps. All of the techs and employees at Tommy’s really have the know-how to do their job, and are happy to engage you in long, detailed technical discussions about tuning pegs, fretboards and pickups.
If you shred, pick, pluck or even nervously plink you’ll want to check out this unique small business while you’re in town.

WebsiteChoux Choux Bakery
Shop ’til you drop… or don’t. Actually, that seems kinda unhealthy. It’s important to periodically eat. Fuel up at Choux Choux Bakery, where the from-scratch pastries, espresso and bistro-like atmosphere create a nice place to recharge after popping tags. They have fresh soups and salads, too. Go. It’s the kind of place where you’ll want to photograph the colorful macaroons and “check in” on social media.
